At DRMP Since:
“Even though the industry is fast-paced, I like that DRMP leadership takes time out to mentor its staff.”
What inspired you to choose your career path?
My dad worked in road construction when I was young and encouraged me to pursue engineering.
What do you enjoy most about your job?
I enjoy the flexibility that working in a small office allows. I’m able to work on a wide variety of projects, both large and small.
What are you most passionate about?
My family is very important to me and I’m passionate about instilling the same values in my kids as my parents did. I’m very thankful to my parents for the foundation they laid in my life and the support and encouragement they offered along the way.
What is your greatest challenge?
Balance between work and personal life. One of the simplest yet hardest things I've found to help is to keep work at work as much as possible.
Name an important "lessons learned" moment you have experienced.
To effectively mentor and teach younger staff you have to embrace the "teach a person to fish" philosophy, even when it's inconvenient or you could simply do it faster yourself. It pays off in the long run - for them and yourself.
