SR 417 Lake Nona Interchange

The SR 417 Lake Nona Interchange was a $19.7 million project located in Orange County, Florida. This privately funded interchange was to be constructed within the Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) right-of-way and required CEI services to inspect contractor work.

DRMP provided CEI services during the construction of a full diamond interchange with four ramps and two bridges: one over SR 417 and one over OUC Railroad. Other work needing administration included retention pond construction, water, sewer, reclaimed water, underground electric distribution, telephone utility construction, highway lighting and signage, hardscape and landscaping with irrigation and two ramp toll plazas.

The construction administration assured the private development and the CFX that the project was completed within budget per the design plans. The new interchange allows traffic access to the CFX roadway system while decreasing travel commute times and producing more toll revenue.
