Old Kings Road Extension Environmental Services

DRMP provided ecological and permitting services for the extension of Old Kings Road from Forest Grove Drive to Matanzas Woods Parkway and from Matanzas Woods Parkway to Old Kings Road new alignment.

DRMP biologists conducted a jurisdictional wetland determination, field meetings with regulatory agencies to approve the established wetland line and conducted gopher tortoise and general wildlife surveys.  Environmental assessment reports and permit applications were prepared to obtain permits from the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE).  The reports included listed species assessment results, wetland evaluation descriptions, impact analysis and mitigation plans.

The ecological services assisted in keeping the roadway project to continue on project schedule and budget.
