A. Max Brewer Bridge Replacement Design-Build

The A. Max Brewer Bridge was a design-build project in Titusville, Florida. Lane Construction Company needed permit and compliance monitoring services for the $44.8 million bridge project.

DRMP Biologists assisted the contractor in satisfying documentation requirements of the St. Johns River Water Management District (SJRWMD) and US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) permits prior to construction commencement.  DRMP staff provided additional assistance with verification of approved wetland impact locations during clearing and grubbing activities, and produced and implemented a manatee monitoring plan for use during in-water construction activities.

DRMP’s environmental services determined that all project activities were in compliance with the environmental regulations and obtained permits needed to ensure construction schedule was met.
