FDOT District Five Districtwide Permit Compliance

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) District Five selected DRMP to provide environmental services to ensure all projects throughout the District remained in permit compliance.

DRMP provided weekly in-house environmental services for this five-year contract.  Services provided include, but are not limited to, performing plans reviews, coordinating with FDOT structures and facilities staff and maintenance staff, reviewing draft Environmental Resource Permit (ERP) application packages, attending pre-construction meetings, and providing assistance on miscellaneous environmental permitting and compliance tasks (i.e., GIS queries, field reviews, agency coordination, consultant coordination, mitigation options research, etc.) on an as-needed basis.  Under this contract, the District tasked the E Sciences and DRMP to identify additional mitigation opportunities at the existing mitigation banks permitted by the District, identify potential new mitigation bank opportunities in mitigation basins located within FDOT District Five, evaluate stormwater harvesting and Basin Management Action Plans (BMAP) credits, and identify and evaluate potential species-specific mitigation opportunities.  This research will be used to assist District Five in identifying mitigation options for upcoming projects with wetland and wildlife impacts.

DRMP’s biologists provided the client with an additional resource of knowledge and expertise to assist in assuring all District Five projects remain in compliance with environmental regulatory requirements and permit conditions as projects begin construction.
