SR 429 and SR 417 Bridge Underdeck Lighting Design Analysis

The SR 429 and SR 417 project required design for redundant structural supports for under-deck pendant luminaires including fatigue calculations.  

DRMP's structural engineers provided support of plans preparation and lighting design for modifications to existing under-deck lighting fixtures to comply with Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise requirements at 20 different locations on the SR 429 (11 locations) and SR 417 (nine locations).  Redundant structural supports were designed for under-deck luminaires at four bridges and all supports were designed to resist fatigue.
