Flipper Street Sidewalk Design

The City of Tallahassee, FL selected DRMP to provide sidewalk design, drainage engineering services and construction support for this sidewalk improvement project. With the project being located in a busy residential area in south Tallahassee near an elementary school and well-established church, the existing narrow roadway and lack of stormwater system was problematic.

With DRMP’s services and close coordination with residents and community leaders, the previous narrow roadway was completely reconstructed. The intersection now includes a sidewalk and a new road for pedestrian safety and connectivity. Previously, open ditches collected trash and debris, but with the addition of a new stormwater system, objects and trash are directed to not enter the system.
