NC 73/Hagers Ferry Road Intersection and Traffic Signal Improvements

NC 73/Hagers Ferry Road Intersection and Traffic Signal Improvements was a project that resulted from the expansion of the nearby Southlake Christian Academy. The roads needed to be expanded to accommodate the increased traffic volumes from the school expansion.

DRMP oversaw the design services for the widening of this intersection to accommodate the expansion of the Southlake Christian Academy. The project included adding a left turn lane along NC 73. In addition, plans with cross sections, a new traffic signalization design and plans, pavement marking plans and traffic control plans were included.  North Carolina Department of Transportation Traffic Signal Systems Branch provided review and approval.

The improved intersection provided a safe primary point of access for parents, students, and staff particularly during school arrival and departure times.
