Captain’s Cove Wastewater Plant Revisions & Permit Renewal

The Captain’s Cove Homeowner’s Association (HOA) needed a firm to inspect their 40-year-old wastewater facility on Pine Island.

DRMP’s analysis determined that, while the facility was structurally sound, its internal components were showing signs of damage. DRMP engineers developed design plans to repair the facility’s concrete tank and upgrade its flow equalization system as well as the chlorine contact tanks and filters. Services also included environmental coordination with the Florida Department of Environmental Protection to renew the facility’s permit.

DRMP led the restoration and upgrade efforts for the facility, which will be functional for another 20 years and will save the Captain’s Cove HOA over $200,000 by providing an alternative to replacing the entire structure.
