Glenn Lusink, PSM, named as DRMP’s New Chief Operations Officer

June 17th, 2020

Orlando, Fla. – DRMP is pleased to announce that Glenn Lusink, PSM was recently named as its Chief Operations Officer (COO).

As COO, Glenn will direct, coordinate, and administer a broad range of activities and functions to ensure DRMP has effective operations to achieve our firm’s objectives.  He will assist in the development of organization policies as well as strategic short- and long-range plans in such areas as human resources, financial performance, pushing for utilization of emerging industry technologies, and the expansion and growth of our firm.

Glenn started his career at DRMP in 1982 as a survey field technician and has gained 36 years of experience in the land surveying / geospatial profession and business management. With each new role, he gained insight, from an entry-level position to Surveying and Mapping Department Manager, then Vice President and Survey Area Leader to his most recent role as Principal-in-Charge of the DRMP’s Surveying and Mapping / Geospatial Division. In 2000, Glenn opened DRMP’s Jacksonville, Fla. office, which has grown to over 50 employees with a continued client base throughout Northeast Florida including the federal markets and the Department of Defense (DOD).

In 2013, Glenn was a part of the 10-month Florida Engineering Leadership Institute (FELI). In addition to his participation in FELI and other leadership training, Glenn worked extensively with DRMP President and previous COO Larry Smith, Jr., PE for a year to gain knowledge and understanding of his new responsibilities.

Along with guiding the firm to make fiscally responsible decisions, develop policies, embrace innovative technology and produce growth, Glenn said continuing DRMP’s corporate culture is just as important in his new role.

“As COO, I will continue to support DRMP in its objectives to remain as a leading provider of professional engineering and surveying services to our clients and of course to help make fiscally responsible decisions for the firm,” Glenn said.  “But, I also want to emphasize that I feel the corporate culture we have built here is essential to our success not just as a firm but for our employees.”

It is important that our firm continues to provide opportunities for young professionals to help grow their careers.

“I want to help afford our employees the same opportunity to advance in their careers like I did,” Glenn added. “You can grow here by taking chances and learning from others and showing tenacity.”

DRMP’s growing workforce is made up of about 500 people from different generations, backgrounds, and work experience spread across the Southeastern United States.

“I see us continuing in our efforts to promote more diversity into DRMP’s leadership and continuing our growth pattern in terms of diversifying our services to continue to grow our firm,” Glenn said.

Glenn has seen the company grow to where it is today and has participated in just about every level of DRMP’s operations, from the field to the board room.

“Glenn’s career is a testament of what is possible at DRMP and he is a great fit to be DRMP’s new COO. He got to where he is because he is persistent and sought out the mentorship that was available around him. I know he’s going to bring that same spirit to his new role and it will make a great impact on the firm,” Larry said.
