I-4 Polk Expansion of Central Florida Intelligent Transportation System (ITS)

I-4 Polk Expansion of Central Florida ITS was a $1.5 million project located in Polk County, Florida. The FDOT District Five sought a firm to provide Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) services.

DRMP was selected to perform the CEI services for this ITS design-build project that connects the FDOT District Five ITS network to the FDOT District Seven ITS network along I-4 from ChampionsGate to approximately 1-mile west of Highway 27. This project included the installation of a fiber optic backbone, closed camera circuit television (CCTV), dynamic message signs (DMS) and Wavetronix vehicle detectors.

DRMP used quality and cost control measures to achieve maximum cost effectiveness. Our team provided the available quality and quantity of staff to meet and exceed the owners project expectations, documentation requirements, coordination, contract administration, inspection and engineering management needs.
