The Villages at McCullers Walk

Ramey Kemp Associates (RKA) provided traffic engineering, erosion control design, drainage design, roadway design, and signal design services for The Villages at McCullers Walk at the intersection of Fayetteville Road and Ten-Ten Road in Garner, N.C.  The development includes multi-family units with new driveways proposed on public roadways as well as connections through existing developments for the growing Town of Garner.

Following the completion of the traffic impact analysis study, RKA prepared design plans for the public roadway improvements related to the project.

RKA coordinated with the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) to obtain approval of encroachment agreements and driveway permits. The roadway drainage system included approximately 1,500 LF of curb and gutter with 2,500 LF of pipe and 28 structures at an estimated construction cost of more than $160,000 for the drainage portion of the project.

Roadway improvements were identified to improve traffic movements along the primary roadways while providing adequate access for the development.  The roadway design and drainage design were completed to NCDOT standards for the state roadways and reviewed and approved by NCDOT. Erosion control plans were developed for this project following NCDOT standards.

The development provides housing and roadway improvements construction to help improve traffic movement along primary roadways to accommodate Garner’s growing population.
