US 92 & SR 546

US 92 & SR 546 were two separate projects bundled into one Construction Engineering Inspection (CEI) contract by FDOT District One. US 92 was a $2.4 million milling and resurfacing project from Churchill Avenue to Sloan Avenue. The SR 546 project was a $16.2 million concrete pavement replacement and trail project from Interstate-4 ramps to Bunnell Street. The FDOT District One needed a firm to supply full CEI services for both rehabilitation projects.

DRMP was selected to provide the CEI services for FDOT District One to perform construction administration and inspection services. Project improvements for US 92 included milling and resurfacing, shoulder treatment, drainage improvements, curb and gutters, sidewalks, guardrail, signing and pavement marking and signalization. SR 546 included new stabilization, new base, new concrete pavement, an asphalt trail, sidewalk, underdrain, curb and gutter and other highway amenities.

DRMP handled construction administration for these multi-million-dollar projects. DRMP provided assistance for various unexpected change orders that included addition of temporary low-profile barrier wall for removal of traffic rail and more. The public now has two smooth riding portions of highway that will last for years to come.
