NCDOT Multiple Bridge Replacements (BP)

The NCDOT Division Bridge Replacement projects were located in the western region of North Carolina in Divisions 10 and 14. These multi-disciplinary projects involved the replacement of structurally deficient bridges on minor collectors and local roads over waterways.

DRMP was responsible for the replacement of four bridges and four culverts including project management of all contract resources including multiple subconsultants, for delivery of turnkey design, permitting and right-of-way acquisition services. DRMP worked closely with the Division Bridge Program managers to provide solutions tailored to each site. Project locations include Henderson, Union and Anson counties. Designs were completed based on NCDOTs Subregional Tier Design Guidelines for Bridge Projects.

Division bridge replacement projects allow for good engineering judgement and consider site-specific conditions along with local knowledge during the project development phase. This common sense approach helps increase safety for the traveling public while providing economical solutions and reducing maintenance costs.
