WildBlue Development Wastewater Modeling

Barraco and Associates needed a firm to handle the Lee County Utilities permitting review process for 1,000 units at the WildBlue residential development, which required presenting a hydraulic model of the development’s wastewater treatment plan to the county.  The existing 12-inch force main at the site was surcharged and the review process was being hampered by the lack of sewer service in the area, which conflicted with the owner’s construction schedule.

DRMP coordinated with municipal agencies to obtain a hydraulic model of the region to evaluate cost-effective options to redirect the wastewater output from the development to the local plant. DRMP engineers determined the optimal option to be the installation of a parallel force main connected to a regional master pump. Services also included equipment upgrades.

DRMP delivered solutions for Barraco and Associates to proceed with the established delivery schedule provided by the bank, reducing construction time and cost to the client.
