Orlando, Fla. –  DRMP is proud to announce that Environmental Scientist Rachel Peters has been elected treasurer of the Central Florida Association of Environmental Professionals (CFAEP).

Peters joined the organization in 2015 before being hired by DRMP in 2018 and was nominated to the CFAEP board in 2021. She participates in monthly luncheons that feature guest speakers who highlight diverse topics in the environmental industry, as well as activities during the weekend like beach/river clean ups and social happy hour networking events.

“Being involved with CFAEP is a great way to stay in touch with recent updates in the environmental industry and meet people face to face you may work with on future projects,” Peters said. “I have met so many people as a member of CFAEP such as local city leaders, regulatory agency staff, municipality representatives, restoration companies and consultants like myself.”

Peters’ duties as treasurer include: keeping and maintaining a full and complete set of financial records; managing funds; and preparing all budgets. She is also responsible for ensuring the annual 501(c)(3) report and tax statements are prepared.

CFAEP is a nonprofit organization comprised of scientists, engineers, geologists and other professionals working in the environmental sector. The organization provides a platform for networking with other environmental professionals and the opportunity to participate in professional development and community events in Brevard, Orange, Osceola, Lake and Volusia Counties.
