August 18th, 2021

North Carolina, NC. – DRMP is proud to announce that Structures Project Engineer Dwight Loflin, PE, has earned his North Carolina Professional Engineering license.

Loflin has both a Master and Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and he joined DRMP’s Charlotte, NC office in 2020. Drawn to structural engineering, Loflin has focused his career at DRMP in this type of engineering and used his experience and knowledge in structural engineering for the Principals & Practices of Engineering (PE) exam.

“I chose structural engineering to focus on throughout my education and career because it has always inspired me to be an engineer,” Loflin said.

Loflin started studying for the exam three months in advance. To study, he reviewed and worked on practice problems related to the exam. After years of schooling and passing the PE exam, he said he feels relieved and eager about his professional growth at DRMP.

“For now, my plan is to continue improving and learning all that I can about the type of structural engineering we perform at DRMP,” Loflin said. “I am looking forward to exciting project opportunities in the future.”

Loflin has been a strong addition to the Structural Engineering Division.
