January 11th, 2022

Cary, NC – DRMP is excited to welcome Steven Bailey, PLS, as the Cary, NC Survey Department Manager. In this role, he will be responsible for managing survey projects in North Carolina and South Carolina. His responsibilities include contract administration and project management, technical oversight and professional development of staff, marketing and business development, budget and schedule coordination, and quality assurance/quality control of survey deliverables.

Bailey is a North Carolina professional land surveyor with nearly 30 years of surveying expertise and extensive experience in operations and department management. He is also specialized in mobile LiDAR mapping, static HD scanning, construction layout, and various types of surveys, including boundary, topographic, and North Carolina and South Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT/SCDOT) route surveys. Of note, Bailey has years of work experience with the SCDOT as an On-Call Consultant Services Manager and project experience with NCDOT, including serving as a project manager for U-5891 NC-50 Creedmoor Rd in Wake County, NC, a 7.5-mile mobile scan project which included 40+ lane miles of mobile scanning.

By leveraging DRMP’s technology and his surveying experience and relationships with NCDOT and SCDOT, Bailey looks forward to expanding and diversifying the firm’s surveying and mapping services in the Carolinas.

“Along with working with NCDOT, I’d like to see DRMP diversify the type of survey work that we provide such as stream restoration and working in the utility sector with gas lines and power corridors while using our technology to meet the needs of our clients. DRMP’s use of technology is one of the things that drew me to the firm and I want us to take advantage of it to provide cost-effective, innovative ways to deliver projects to our clients,” said Bailey.

Bailey is a great addition to DRMP’s Surveying & Mapping/Geospatial Division.

“Steven’s surveying experience and insight with various agencies will be key to helping grow our surveying services in the Carolinas and I look forward to supporting him in his new role,” said Joe Di Benedetto, PLS, Vice President.
