February 24th, 2022

Tampa, Fla. – DRMP is proud to announce that Project Engineer Hung Tu, PE, SE, has passed the Georgia Structural Engineering (SE) exam and earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in Georgia. This 16-hour PE Structural exam includes separate vertical and lateral testing components to evaluate a candidate’s proficiency to safely design buildings and bridges, especially in areas of high seismicity and high wind.

Tu joined DRMP in 2016 and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of South Florida, as well as a Master of Science degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Central Florida. Tu first earned his Professional Engineer (PE) license in 2020 in the state of Florida.

“I’m excited to expand my knowledge of the structural engineering specialty and apply it to the wide variety of projects I am working on as I continue to grow as an engineer,” said Tu.

Since joining DRMP, Tu has lent his structural engineering expertise to many projects such as bridge replacements, pedestrian bridges, roadway widenings and more.

“I am proud of Hung for the hard work and dedication he demonstrated in earning this credential,” said Structures Department Manager Mike Leo, PE. “His drive to expand his personal technical capabilities is reflected in the growth of our entire structural team as we continue to tackle more diverse and complex bridge projects.”
