Tampa, Fla. – DRMP is pleased to announce GIS Project Manager Kelly Marton, GISP, was appointed to the Tampa Bay Waterkeeper (TBWK) Board of Directors. TBWK is a non-profit organization that works closely with citizens, local organizations, and governments to safeguard coastal and inland waters, primarily in Pinellas and Hillsborough counties.

Marton’s responsibilities as a board member will entail advising and overseeing policy and direction of the organization, while helping with fundraising, education, and community outreach.

Born and raised in Pinellas County, Fla., Marton is a self-proclaimed lover of science and marine ecology. She said she is looking forward to fostering relationships with her fellow board members while taking an active position to protect and improve the community she calls home.

“I’m really looking forward to the opportunities this position will bring for me to give back to the area that made me the person I am today,” Marton said. “I’m eager to bring my perspective as a GIS professional and passion for public resources to TBWK and the work they do to protect water quality in Tampa Bay.”
