October 3rd, 2022

Orlando, Fla. – DRMP has promoted Megan Mott, PE, as its new Structures Division Leader in the Transportation Market Sector.  Mott’s promotion is in line with DRMP’s strategic plan to expand the firm and streamline its services.

Mott began her career with DRMP in 2004 as an Engineer Intern. She became a Project Engineer in 2007 and then moved into a Project Manager role in 2014. In 2017, she was promoted to Assistant Department Manager before being named Structures Discipline Leader.

Amanda Woods, PE, a DRMP Vice President and Director of Transportation, said Mott has done an outstanding job as Assistant Structures Department Manager for Florida and will do an equally great job as Structures Discipline Leader for DRMP.

“She is a talented engineer, project manager, and organizer,” Woods said. “She handles difficult situations with ease.  All of these attributes make her the right choice for this leadership position.”

Mott is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and Women’s Transportation Seminar (WTS).

She said she is grateful for the many opportunities made available to her throughout her career at DRMP and is looking forward to supporting the bright future of the firm and its structures group.

“I have been able to contribute to numerous outstanding DRMP projects as an Intern, Project Engineer, and Project Manager as well as support leading our group as Assistant Department Manager,” Mott said. “I am excited to serve in my new role as Structures Discipline Leader and continue our group’s long-standing record of growth and excellence made possible by a talented structures team.”

Woods said she looks forward to seeing Mott thrive in her new role.

“Under her leadership, she will continue to expand the group’s footprint throughout the Southeast with a focus on strengthening our technical capabilities, mentoring staff, and providing growth opportunities within the group,” Woods said.
