Kimberly Santiago-Ortiz, PE, Earns Professional Engineering License in Florida

Orlando, Fla. – DRMP Project Engineer Kimberly Santiago-Ortiz, PE, has earned her Florida Professional Engineering license.

Santiago-Ortiz joined the firm in 2018 and has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Environmental Engineering and is currently pursuing a Master of Science Degree in Civil Engineering – Water Resources, both from the University of Central Florida (UCF). Since joining the firm, Santiago-Ortiz has significantly contributed to the success in developing a long-term relationship performing stormwater assignments for the City of Palm Coast.  She has successfully completed stormwater modeling and retrofit projects for Seminole, Orange and Brevard Counties.

“These last four years working under John’s supervision have taught me invaluable lessons which contributed to my achievement of this key milestone,” Santiago-Ortiz said. “I am looking forward to taking on more responsibility as a licensed Professional Engineer and continuing to learn and grow within DRMP.”

Stormwater Department Manager John Minton, PE, CFM, said Santiago-Ortiz has become a talented engineer with highly specialized skills in developing surface water models using new technologies in GIS and the computer program, ICPR. 

“Kimberly carefully plans out her work assignments and executes them skillfully with consideration of schedule and budget,” Minton said. “She is driven to become an accomplished engineer in the field of water resources.”
