Tampa, Fla. – DRMP welcomes David Johnson, PE, who has joined the firm as a Senior Structural Engineer in Tampa, Fla. He will be responsible for the design and project management of structural engineering for conventional and complex transportation projects and pursuing structural engineering work in Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Districts Seven and One as well as other municipalities in west and Southwest Florida.
Johnson’s hiring is an example of DRMP’s continued efforts to bolster its structural engineering service offerings throughout the west and southwest Florida region as the firm continues to concentrate on providing its clients in the region with quality services.
Johnson has 12 years of structural engineering experience including providing expertise for many projects throughout Hillsborough, Pasco, Putnam and Taylor counties, as well as FDOT Districts Two and Five. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in Florida, Oregon, and Wisconsin. The scope of his structural engineering portfolio is vast, including bridge replacements, bridge repairs, seawalls, traffic signal mast arms, span wires, piers, boardwalks and vertical structures. Johnson has a Master of Science degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering, both from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
