Brandon Robbins, PSM, Elected as FSMS Crown Chapter President

February 17th, 2023

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Congratulations to DRMP Jacksonville Project Surveyor Brandon Robbins, PSM, who was recently elected president to the Florida Surveying and Mapping Society’s Crown Chapter.

Robbins has been a member of FSMS since 2009. The Crown Chapter represents the Northeast Florida members of FSMS, a nonprofit professional organization for land surveyors and mappers.

His responsibilities include, promoting the surveying profession and FSMS to the local chapter; organizing speakers and events; conducting presentations on news and technological advancements involving the profession; and directing monthly meetings.

Robbins said his key goals are to book a robust lineup of speakers to help assist young surveyors in their careers and develop strategies to heighten participation in the organization.

“This election to president is a great step in my career development, and I'm happy to shake things up in our local chapter to make it more appealing to all the members,” he said.

Robbins will work alongside DRMP Project Manager Randy Tompkins, PSM, PLS, who currently serves on the state Board of Directors of FSMS.

“Randy and I are both passionate about giving back to our profession, and FSMS is a great organization for us to share our experience and knowledge,” Robbins. “We have a great working relationship, and I’m excited to team up with him to move the organization forward.”
