January 10th, 2024

RALEIGH, N.C. – DRMP has elevated Jeremy Potter to the key role of Mid-Atlantic Transportation Division Leader as the firm expands its regional presence and service offerings.

As Mid-Atlantic Transportation Division Leader, Potter, who joined DRMP when the firm recently merged with Ramey Kemp Associates (RKA), will be responsible for leading strategic client management initiatives, focusing on engagement with industry organizations, prioritizing employee career development, and fostering a positive team culture.

“I am very excited to be able to help continue the formal integration of the Mid-Atlantic teams in 2024,” Potter said. “The staff has already developed strong working relationships, and we are excited about the ability to co-locate across offices as the teams unify.  Additionally, as the team comes together and finds success, I am excited for the opportunity for additional organic career development.”

Potter said his overall approach in his new role will focus on client management and development.

“Focusing on this will give team members opportunities to grow their careers through building client relationships, which brings new and larger projects and leads to long-term sustainable growth,” he said. “By joining forces in the Mid-Atlantic, we can provide clients a wider range and deeper set of capabilities.  This will unlock the potential for larger projects across a wider set of clients.”

Potter is a licensed Professional Engineer in North Carolina and Maryland. While at RKA, he was the director of the firm’s North Carolina operations and was responsible for planning, staffing, executing, and financial performance of projects. He has held various leadership positions at large engineering firms, including his roles as a Construction Services Operations Manager, Client Manager, and Project Manager. He also worked for the City of Raleigh in their Traffic Control Office. Potter is an active member of the American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC-NC) and served as the Legislative Committee Chair of the organization from 2017 to 2020 in addition to currently serving on the Board of Trustees of the ACEC-NC PAC.

“I’m excited to welcome Jeremy to the team,” said DRMP Senior Vice President and Director of Transportation Amanda Woods, PE. “With Jeremy’s proven track record of strategic vision and operational excellence, his leadership will help strengthen our relationships and growth in the Mid-Atlantic region, while delivering exceptional services to our clients.”
