DRMP Welcomes Jeff Bragdon, PE, PMP, as Mid-Atlantic Chief Operations Officer

January 10th, 2024

RICHMOND, Va. – DRMP has named Jeff Bragdon, PE, PMP, as its Mid-Atlantic Chief Operations Officer (COO), further solidifying the firm’s presence and growth in the Mid-Atlantic region.

As COO, Bragdon, who joined DRMP through its recent merger with Ramey Kemp Associates (RKA), will further integrate DRMP and former RKA staff and identify opportunities for collaboration that were not present before the merger, both within the Mid-Atlantic team and DRMP at large.

“We have already seen many opportunities for cross-collaboration and partnerships with respective Trilon firms as a result of shared client relationships,” Bragdon said.

His primary responsibilities will involve facilitating divisional alignment, driving operational efficiency, and continuing to promote the strong history of high-quality project delivery within the Mid-Atlantic region.

“I am thrilled to welcome Jeff as our new Mid-Atlantic Chief Operations Officer,” said DRMP Chief Operations Officer Mike Albano, PE. “His dynamic leadership style coupled with his well-established relationships in the A/E/C industry and in Virginia make him a valuable addition to our team. I am confident Jeff will bring fresh perspectives and transformative strategies to help us continue to grow in the Mid-Atlantic region.”

Bragdon boasts a career spanning more than 25 years in the A/E/C industry and has held many leadership roles. He joined Ramey Kemp Associates (RKA) in May 2022 as Director of Virginia and quickly assumed the role of Chief Operations Officer in January 2023. During his eight-year tenure at the Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT), he successfully steered the Department’s Hydraulics and Utilities Program. Bragdon also was a Department Director and Project Manager for multiple firms, managing numerous projects and clients, while providing Quality Assurance and Quality Control. He also ensured upstanding financial performance while directing multi-discipline professionals in the development of permitting and construction documents. Early in his career, Bragdon served the Marine Construction Industry as a Field Engineer and Hydrographic/Land Surveyor on many dredging and beach restoration projects throughout the Atlantic and Gulf coasts for several years.

Bragdon has also been actively involved for five years with the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance (VTCA) – a transportation construction advocacy group. While employed by the VTCA, he served as the Program Manager of Engineering Consultants and Associates, serving as the primary liaison between the members and federal, state, and local contracting agencies. Bragdon is a licensed Professional Engineer in Virginia and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).

Bragdon said the benefits of refining and capitalizing on operational efficiencies can be compounding across multiple aspects, including project quality, timeliness, and professional development. He said he looks forward to building upon DRMP’s excellent reputation and introducing the firm to new clients.

“I am excited to continue to partner with and learn from leaders within DRMP as we combine best practices from both firms to improve the employee and client experience,” Bragdon said.
