SR 44 over the St. Johns River (Bridge #110063)(Contractor Support)

This project replaces the existing 0.8-mile SR 44 bridge over the St. Johns River with a high-level fixed span bridge. Working alongside Superior Construction Company, DRMP provided specialty engineering expertise in order to keep the project’s construction on schedule.

DRMP’s structural engineers provided Engineering Analysis Reports (EAR) for non-compliant elements, out of tolerance piles analysis, temporary wall design, foundation re-design, and emergency response in support of this project. The existing SR 44 bridge remains open during construction, allowing drivers to safely navigate to their destination while the new bridge is constructed. The project’s estimated construction completion is late 2023.

The contractor support DRMP's structural engineers provided will aid in the timely completion of the newly constructed bridge to improve public and commercial mobility.
