SR A1A at Woolbright Road 

The Florida Department of Transportation District Four had a safety issue with pedestrians crossing SR A1A at Woolbright Road. DRMP was chosen from a continuing contract to provide a design solution for the issue.

DRMP was responsible for the design of pedestrian ramps, crosswalk markings and upgrading pedestrian signals (countdown) for the addition of pedestrian crosswalks across the north, south and east legs of the SR A1A at Woolbright Road intersection.

All crosswalk upgrades will improve pedestrian safety by increasing driver awareness. The crosswalk will reduce the number of pedestrian fatalities from the improvements by providing a designated area to cross SR A1A.
