DRMP Survey Analyst Melissa Padilla Cintron Named Treasurer of Florida Young Surveyors Network
January 27th, 2026
TAMPA, Fla. – Congratulations to DRMP Survey Analyst Melissa Padilla Cintron, SIT, on her election as treasurer of the Florida Young Surveyors Network (FYSN).
In this role, Padilla Cintron will manage group expenses, maintain accurate financial records, and present treasurer reports at meetings. She said she is especially excited to support FYSN initiatives that expand outreach to young professionals and students, increase engagement across Florida and neighboring states, and create more opportunities for mentorship, education, and collaboration within the surveying community.
“FYSN has played a significant role in my professional growth, and I am grateful for the opportunity to give back to an organization that continues to open doors for young surveyors,” Padilla Cintron said. “I look forward to working alongside the officers to keep the organization active and impactful for future generations.”
Padilla Cintron joined FYSN in 2023 and served as president, leading the successful revival of the organization after it had dissolved following the COVID-19 pandemic. Her term as treasurer runs from January 2026 through December 2026.
She said serving as treasurer will allow her to strengthen her understanding of budgeting, financial tracking, and organizational accountability – skills that will help build her confidence in leadership roles and enhance her ability to contribute effectively at DRMP.
“This experience supports my professional growth and directly increases the value I bring to the firm, enhancing the contributions I can make to DRMP’s projects and overall company success,” she said.
Padilla Cintron credited DRMP Vice President and Tampa Office Leader Chris Wild, PSM, for encouraging her to take on leadership within FYSN and to revive the organization after the pandemic.
“When Melissa first considered leading FYSN, I knew she had the dedication and leadership skills to reenergize the organization,” Wild said. “Seeing her step into this new role as treasurer is rewarding, and I’m confident the experience will continue to strengthen her leadership and the contributions she brings to the firm.”
