Ft. Myers, Fla. – DRMP is proud to announce that Project Engineer Ross Hackethal, PE, has earned his Florida Professional Engineering license. Hackethal has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Central Florida (UCF) and joined DRMP in 2019.

Drawn to Water Resources and Environmental (WRE), Hackethal focused on this field for his Principals and Practices of Engineering (PE) exam.

“I graduated with a degree in Mechanical Engineering but many years later I found my home in WRE. Passing the Civil WRE exam was a great feeling of accomplishment in making that crossover. It’s exciting to move forward and continue learning” said Hackethal.

To prepare for his PE exam, there was one study tool that Hackethal found particularly useful.

“I found The School of PE books to be structured very well and to be extremely informative,” said Hackethal. “The 8-hour exam initially seems like a vast amount of time until the clock starts. This is where any time-saving tools become essential.”

Hackethal has garnered respect as a problem solver while working on projects and earning his PE license is another great step in his career at DRMP, according to Utility Engineering Manager, Patrick Day, PE, BCEE.
