Executive Brief: January - March 2022 Issue

March 29th, 2022

My friend and colleague Jon Meadows PE, and I have shared some pivotal moments working alongside each other at DRMP. We’ve experienced project wins, some losses, pivotal changes, and celebrations that would help make up a lifetime career of more than 30 years at DRMP.

Now, the time has come to celebrate another monumental milestone: Jon’s retirement after 36 years of dedicated and exceptional service at DRMP. It is an understatement to say Jon played an important role in helping build the firm to what it is today.

Over his nearly 40 years with the firm, he worked on the firm’s first limited access project – State Road 417 – a major highway that guides travelers around the city of Orlando, Fla. and went on to help guide and build DRMP’s Transportation Division. He became a Vice President, Transportation Division Manager and ended his career at DRMP as a Principal.

In many A/E/C firms today, careers like Jon’s is the exception, not the standard. I’m proud to say that it is the opposite and there are many DRMP “lifers” in the making.

As you’ll read in the Featured Story, Jon not only accomplished a lot as an individual he also served as a great mentor and colleague that has made a positive impact that has left a lasting legacy at DRMP.

Just as Jon has helped shape the framework of DRMP, a new crop of leaders that he has influenced have taken the baton and are helping move the firm to the next level and I couldn’t be more excited about what’s to come.
