Executive Brief: July-August 2022 Issue

August 30th, 2022

In our 40-plus years in business, DRMP has become known for a couple of differentiators - our culture and the relationships we've built with our clients. Any A/E/C firm still in business can deliver services in this industry. We deliver our services well, so well that our clients tell us it's not only what we perform, but how we perform is what keeps us on top of their lists to hire throughout the years.

In 2001, we bet on our skills and reputation and laid the groundwork to open an office in Charlotte, NC, our first office outside of Florida. Now, with more than four offices in North Carolina and plans for expansion, we have more than succeeded.

The vision for DRMP in North Carolina, which fueled the firm to continue expanding our presence throughout the Southeastern United States, started with one man, DRMP Vice President Jim Beck, PE, AICP, ENV SP. Jim knew, even through the industry’s natural highs and lows, North Carolina was and continues to be a great opportunity for the firm. As you’ll read in this issue’s Featured Story – Jim, along with our dedicated staff, now has their sights on an even greater vision centered around strategic growth into new areas that benefits our employees and our current and prospective clients.

While our impact in the Carolinas region continues to grow, we celebrated the enormous contribution of one of our dedicated leaders – and my friend – Donald Barton Jr., PSM, who has retired after nearly 40 years of dedicated service to DRMP.

When you see us proclaim “Build With DRMP” it’s more than a phrase – it’s our track record. I am thankful to Donnie and our leaders who have built their careers with DRMP and helped guide us, and I am excited about DRMP’s strategic plan that is elevating our future leaders and offices.
