University of South Florida (USF) Hawthorne Drive Study

The University of South Florida requested a feasibility study for a new roadway on the main campus in Tampa, Florida.

DRMP provided a conceptual line and grade for a new 2,500-LF roadway to connect 30th Street to USF Magnolia Drive. A preliminary drainage plan was provided to collect and convey runoff into Lake Benkhe.   A detailed construction cost estimate was also developed using the latest FDOT's historical unit prices.  The opinion of cost will assist USF with budgeting for this important project.

The new roadway will serve increased vehicular and pedestrian traffic from the new medical housing and Haley VA Hospital to Moffit Cancer Center on the USF Tampa Campus.  The new roadway will also improve safety and alleviate traffic congestion on the USF campus.
