SR 4 (US 441) at Riverland Drive Mast Arm Analysis

DRMP was hired by the FDOT District Four to analyze existing mast arms at two locations on SR 4 (US 441) for the new loading of a signal head.

DRMP structural engineers provided analysis of existing mast arms with new loading at two locations, specifically at SR 7 (US 441) at Riverland Drive and SR 838 (Sunrise Boulevard) at NW 15th Avenue.  The original design of these mast arms utilized FDOT District Four Semi-Standards.  Both mast arms were analyzed with the addition of a 5-section signal head and found to be structurally adequate to accommodate the new signal.

The additional signal head would help improve traffic flow and safety on SR  4 (US 441).
