Phase I of Citrus Grove Road from Grassy Lake Road to North Hancock Road

DRMP was hired by Lake County, Florida to provide engineering design servcies for the Phase I of Citrus Grove Road from Grassy Lake Road to North Hancock Road project. The first phase of a three part, $41 million infrastructure improvement project, that will connect North Hancock Road to US 27. DRMP's design includes the widening of North Hancock Road to add turn lanes at the intersection with Citrus Grove Road.  Lake County has support from the state level to fund this infrastructure improvement project. The project needed a design firm that will fulfill the County’s vision and meet expectations.

The project is being designed to include earthwork and major drainage features for the 4-lane road. Services include extensive utility coordination with multiple utility agency owners, survey, design, construction documents and construction administration. DRMP is responsible for coordination with Lake County, City of Minneola and existing property owners during the design phase.

Citrus Grove Road will provide more direct accessibility between US 27 and the Turnpike. The 4-lane widening will provide Lake County with more infrastructure to support the growing community’s infrastructure demands. The project is designed with turn lanes and other necessary maintenance of traffic features to decrease improvement costs in the future. The project will relieve traffic congestion amongst much of the area’s roads and provide a boost to its overall economic development.
