DRMP Strengthens Southeast Florida Presence with Evhen Kyj, PE, as New Boca Roadway Group Leader
October 23rd, 2024
BOCA RATON, Fla. – To support our continued growth in Southeast Florida, DRMP has promoted Evhen Kyj, PE, to Boca Roadway Group Leader. This promotion aligns with our strategic focus on expanding services in the region, especially within the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) Districts 4 and 6 and meeting the evolving transportation infrastructure needs of local clients.
Kyj’s primary responsibilities in this role will be securing more significant contracts and increasing the firm's visibility in FDOT Districts 4 and 6, as well as collaboration between other groups throughout DRMP. He will provide guidance, mentoring of younger staff, and serve as an important technical resource in roadway design.
Kyj started at DRMP in 2018 as a Roadway Project Manager. In the last six months, Kyj stepped into a Deputy Project Manager role with one of DRMP’s most important clients, Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise.
“Our partnership with the Enterprise is a priority and being able to expand that relationship outside of Central Florida is a key part of our future growth,” DRMP Roadway Division Leader Todd White, PE, said. “Evhen has stepped into this role with confidence and will strengthen our path forward.”
White said Kyj has the technical expertise and problem-solving ability that make him well suited for his new role.
“He also has the vision, compassion, and empathy needed to lead a group into a new path of growth and prosperity,” White said. “This combination is a perfect fit for our group leaders. DRMP can only get stronger when we provide the right people the right opportunity for success.”
Kyj said his goal in his new role is to continue to grow business in FDOT District 4 by winning more work and larger contracts and expanding the firm’s presence in FDOT District 6, as well as growing DRMP’s municipal client base.
“My long-term initiative is to work with our recruiting team to hire more staff, including for other disciplines within the transportation division so that we can provide all services out of the Boca office.”
He said his new role will allow him to help DRMP grow and achieve its goals.
“I am very thankful to have this opportunity and to be able to mentor young engineers and help senior engineers achieve their professional goals,” he said. “Thank you to all the individuals who have provided mentorship throughout my time at DRMP. And thank you to all the staff who help me every day to produce the quality project deliverables for our clients.”
DRMP is a multi-discipline firm serving clients in the public, private and industrial sectors in the development of infrastructure and has been in business since 1977. DRMP currently employs 700 professionals in 24 office locations spread strategically across our service area. Today, DRMP is ranked among Engineering News-Record’s “Top 500 Design Firms” in the United States. For more information, please visit www.drmp.com.
