DRMP Provides All the Right Ingredients for a Fulfilling Career
September 10th, 2025
Employees at DRMP get the full package – challenging work, room to grow, and a culture that makes it all worth showing up for.
Building skills and knowledge is just part of the day-to-day at DRMP. Mentorship programs, business development bootcamps, and ongoing learning opportunities encourage employees to sharpen their expertise and stay adaptable. Employee involvement in professional organizations and regular Lunch & Learns helps keep the firm’s culture vibrant and inquisitive. The firm’s ongoing commitment to career development and growth empowers employees to consistently deliver the best results for clients.
But DRMP isn’t all work and no play. The firm makes it a line item in the budget, intentionally investing in a culture where people unplug, bond, and have fun together. Employees connect beyond daily tasks by gathering for the annual company picnic and cornhole tournament, celebrating the holidays with long-standing traditions, and enjoying simple perks, such as Ice Cream, Popcorn, and Hot Cocoa days. These activities create a sense of camaraderie and help build stronger, more personal relationships among employees.
Purpose in Every Project
Professional growth at DRMP goes hand-in-hand with impactful work. Employees take pride in delivering innovative and resilient infrastructure that improves communities, an effort reflected in both project outcomes and industry award recognition.
DRMP’s projects uphold the high standards the firm is known for across its many disciplines. Respected industry organizations, such as the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and many others have recognized DRMP’s work, and the firm continues to earn accolades for both its project excellence and workplace culture.
In 2025, DRMP ranked No. 9 among Florida firms and No. 45 overall on Engineering News-Record’s Top Southeast Design Firms list. Local business journals across Florida and North Carolina also named DRMP a top workplace and one of the largest engineering firms in their markets, highlighting its expanding regional presence.
Level Up with Us
DRMP applies the same standard of excellence to developing its people as it does to delivering exceptional projects. Employees, especially millennials and Gen Z, are significantly more likely to stay with companies that invest in learning and development, with more than 90 percent valuing career growth, mentorship, and skill-building opportunities as top priorities in job decisions, according to Deloitte’s 2025 Gen Z and Millennial Survey and various industry reports.
DRMP supports employee growth through hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities for continued learning, including business development bootcamps and in-house Lunch & Learns. Its mentorship program connects employees with leaders across disciplines to encourage broader knowledge and collaboration.
Employees are also encouraged to stay engaged with the A/E/C community through active involvement in professional organizations. Many employees serve in leadership roles within groups such as the American Society of Highway Engineers (ASHE) and the Society of American Military Engineers (SAME), strengthening both their professional development and DRMP’s industry presence.
The firm also supports continued professional growth by encouraging and assisting employees in pursuing licensure and certification to advance their careers.
Celebrating our People
DRMP spotlights employee achievements and milestones in a variety of ways.
The Employee of the Month program recognizes outstanding contributions through peer-to-peer nominations, while work anniversaries and legacy milestones are celebrated on the company’s intranet, social media, and at in-office events.
Long-term commitment is honored through the Loyalty Club, which highlights employees with over 20 years of service.
Wellness that Works
DRMP’s wellness program shares practical health tips on the firm’s intranet, covering topics such as mental health, better sleep, and overall wellness. Employees also have access to webinars that provide helpful information on health and well-being for additional tools to support a balanced lifestyle.
The program motivates employees to stay active and healthy through fitness and step challenges, water intake goals, and wellness bingo games. Participants who meet their goals have an opportunity to win valuable prizes, making it a fun and motivating way to stay accountable.
Giving Back Together
Community involvement is also an important part of DRMP’s culture. Through the DRMPCares program, employees take part in charitable efforts that support STEM education, health, and children in need. This is done through donation drives or hands-on volunteer events.
One example is the biennial Bike Build held at the firm’s Orlando headquarters. During the event, employees assemble new bicycles purchased by the firm, which are then donated to The Howard Phillips Center for Children and Families, the firm's community involvement partner. The bikes help children get to school and support parents who rely on them for commuting to work.
Employees also participate in a firm-sponsored Corporate 5K, blending wellness with community support. Other activities include volunteering at food banks and shelters, preparing and serving meals to the needy, and organizing school supply drives for charities.
DRMP believes great work happens when people are supported in their careers. It’s a firm where being well-rounded isn’t the exception. It’s the standard. When employees feel empowered, challenged, and recognized, excellence naturally follows.
