DRMP Gives Back: Holiday Donations, Volunteering, and Community Cleanup Efforts Support Local Charities
December 18th, 2024
The holiday season at DRMP is more than just a time for celebration. It’s a chance to give back to the communities we’re proud to serve. Every year, our employees come together to support local charities, spreading hope and joy to families in need through our DRMPCares program.
DRMPCares focuses on creating meaningful, lasting impacts in STEM education, health, and supporting children in need through donation drives and volunteer efforts.
At our Orlando, Fla., headquarters, employees organized a gift card and monetary donation drive to support The Howard Phillips Center for Children & Families, a charitable arm of Orlando Health Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children. The Center provides vital assistance to thousands of children and teens with special needs, those who have experienced abuse, or those who lack access to healthcare.
DRMP Senior Title Examiner Robin Derr is always excited to contribute to the donation drive supporting the Center.
"Giving back during the holidays means so much to me because it’s a chance to bring a little joy to families going through tough times,” Derr said. “Knowing that our efforts can help children feel cared for and supported is what makes this season feel truly special."
In Tampa, Fla., employees stepped up in the wake of devastating hurricanes Helene and Milton. They participated in the Clearwater Beach Cleanup Day to help restore the area's beauty after the storms and make a difference in the community.
Employees also took part in the 19th Annual Miles for Moffitt 5K race to raise funds for life-saving cancer research. Tampa staff have participated in the race for several years.
Tampa Office Manager Arnesa Zunic joined the Miles for Moffitt race to honor her best friend who became cancer-free after undergoing 12 rounds of chemo at the Moffitt Cancer Center. Zunic said the treatment her friend received fills her with hope and gratitude.
“Her 'cancer-free' status is a beacon of hope, not just for her, but for everyone battling this disease,” Zunic said. “Participating in this event reinforces my belief that with continued research and support like Moffitt provides, a cure is within reach for all cancer patients.”
Our North Carolina offices pitched in to make a difference locally. In Asheboro, the Construction Services team organized a food drive to support Christians United Outreach Center, which offers financial assistance to individuals in crisis. In Raleigh, employees contributed to a food drive for North Haven Ministries, an organization supporting those in need with food, health resources, and safe spaces.
Our other offices also contributed in meaningful ways:
- Jacksonville: Employees conducted a food drive for Feeding Northeast Florida and collected donations for the Salvation Army’s Angel Barrel Drive.
- Boca Raton: The team held a toy drive to support the annual Boca Raton Toy Drive sponsored by local Rotary clubs.
- Lakeland: Employees donated to the Church of the Resurrection Food Pantry to assist families facing food insecurity.
- Merritt Island: Staff sponsored four children through the Salvation Army Angel Tree program, providing clothing, shoes, toiletries, and special wish-list gifts to brighten their holidays.
- St.Augustine: Employees contributed to our Orlando office gift card drive.
Our DRMPCares program is committed to strengthening the communities we call home. Together, we’re making the holiday season a little brighter for those who need it most.
