Lake County Mainline Resurfacing

DRMP was responsible for evaluating three existing bridges during the Existing Roadway Condition Assessment Report (ERCAR) phase and implementing safety improvements during the design phase. 

The DRMP Structures Team evaluated all structures including bridges, bridge culverts, farm crossings, box culverts, sign structures, mast arms, strain poles and high mast lighting within the project limits to determine if current design criteria was met. In addition, at the request of Structure Maintenance, DRMP developed box culvert repair plans utilizing an innovative box culvert rehabilitation technique which eliminated the need for periodic maintenance.  Detailed plan installation instructions were provided, allowing fast track approval of the experimental coating.

By providing analysis and recommendations in the ERCAR report, the FTE improved the safety of their roadways for the traveling public.
