Davis Park Improvements

The City of Cairo, Georgia was faced with issues from not having sufficient amenities for outdoor community activities and general recreation. The City wanted to improve existing parks to solve this issue, and Davis Park was the first that the City sought to improve.

DRMP provided professional engineering services for this project that included wetland and impact mitigation, stormwater improvements and pedestrian facilities with walking trail and parking area to improve the downtown park within the City of Cairo.  The final build out of this park includes new restroom facilities, walking trail, amphitheater, gazebos and stormwater improvements to help alleviate flooding downstream of Davis Park.

Davis Park is a very active recreational facility and provides a place for Cairo, Georgia residents to get outdoors for a scenic walk, play on the playground or hold events in the amphitheater. The upgraded facilities provide the community with a more enjoyable atmosphere. All stormwater improvements create a safer and more user-friendly environment.
