ORLANDO, Fla. – DRMP has hired Carmen Edwards, SHRM-CP, as Human Resources Specialist to support the firm’s strategic growth. In this role, she will serve as a resource for employee health benefits, develop an internal wellness program and assist the Human Resources (HR) team with daily tasks. 

Edwards has more than five years of experience in HR including her last role as an HR Generalist at a local payroll processing firm in Destin, Fla. She is a SHRM-certified professional as well as a Louisiana State University Alumni with a Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resources Management. 

“I’m very excited to join the DRMP team not only to broaden my experience in a new industry but to also have a role in improving the employee experience as DRMP grows,” she said. “There is a wealth of knowledge in my team, and I’m looking forward to learning from and with my colleagues.”

Edwards has several professional milestones she said she is looking forward to accomplishing at DRMP with the support of her team. 

“My goal is to learn our processes and see how I can modify and improve different areas to make it easier for DRMP employees,” she said. 

Edwards has proven to be a great addition to the DRMP HR Department, and her hiring aligns with the firm’s goal to grow and expand, said Human Resource Assistant Department Manager Jessica Leard.

“Carmen has been a great addition to our team,” she said. “I’m excited to have someone with a fresh set of eyes to help overlook our processes, specifically our wellness program. Our goal is to make our benefits programs the best for our staff.”
