RALEIGH, N.C. – Congratulations to Kayla Poulos, PE, for being accepted into the 2024 American Council of Engineering Companies of North Carolina (ACEC/NC) Future Leaders Program, which provides emerging A/E/C professionals with business insights and networking opportunities.

The seven-month interactive program includes seven sessions and offers 27 professional development hours, which count toward the credit required for professional engineer license renewal. Applicants are nominated by their employer and must have five years of experience in the field.

Poulos said hearing about the program from co-workers sparked her interest, as she knew it offered valuable knowledge and growth opportunities to its participants.

“I was honored to be nominated by Roadway Group Leader Lucas Helms, PE, and Chief Strategy Officer Jim Beck, PE, AICP, ENV SP, and I look forward to jumping in headfirst,” Poulos said. “I believe the Future Leaders Program will help me to continue to grow my network and provide me with skills to become a better leader.”

Poulos said she most looks forward to the business development and marketing skills that she will develop throughout the program.

“I will be able to utilize these skills to market our strong team and robust services to both existing and potential clients to continue to bring in new work,” she said. “Additionally, I will make connections with other professionals that could be key partners for DRMP in future project endeavors. Building these relationships can open doors for our team as we continue to grow.”
