DRMP Expands Raleigh Traffic Design Team with New Senior Project Manager Matt Stygles
November 18th, 2025
RALEIGH, N.C. – DRMP welcomes Matt Stygles, PE, as a senior traffic design project manager in its Raleigh office, expanding the firm’s leadership team and advancing its growth in the region.
In this role, Stygles will lead and expand DRMP’s traffic design presence in the Raleigh area, including building and developing the local team, managing project delivery, and coordinating closely with the firm’s well-established Charlotte group. He will oversee projects from concept through completion with a focus on quality, efficiency, and client satisfaction, while strengthening relationships with regional clients. Mentorship and team development will be key responsibilities as DRMP continues to grow its capabilities in the Research Triangle, which includes Raleigh, Durham, and Chapel Hill.
“I’m excited to build on the strong momentum that DRMP’s traffic team has already created in North Carolina,” Stygles said. “My focus will be on continuing that success by growing our presence in the Triangle area and creating opportunities for collaboration across offices. I plan to support that growth by developing local talent, fostering a connected team culture, and identifying new opportunities in the region.”
Stygles has a background in traffic signals, outdoor lighting design, traffic operations, and highway safety. He has developed and led designs, analyses, and reports for developers, institutions, and agencies at the local, state, and federal levels.
“What excites me most is joining a firm that is both talented and growing,” he said. “The people here are genuinely great to work with, and there’s a real sense of empowerment for employees to drive their own careers. I also look forward to collaborating with our Trilon Group partners to deliver complex projects.”
DRMP Traffic Design Group Leader Brittany Groome, PE, PTOE, RSP1, said Stygles’ leadership will provide new opportunities to broaden client relationships and expand DRMP’s impact in the Triangle region.
“Matt brings the experience and leadership that will help us take our Raleigh traffic design team to the next level,” Groome said. “His expertise strengthens our regional capabilities, supports our growing client base, and ensures our team continues to deliver high-quality, innovative solutions across the Triangle.”
