DRMP Hires Kim Miller as Controller
August 31st, 2023
ORLANDO, Fla. – DRMP has hired Kim Miller as Controller in its Accounting Department to support the firm’s strategic growth.
In this role, Miller will manage the payroll process, bank and insurance reconciliations, annual audits, and month-end closing, including financial reporting. She will also facilitate process improvements in payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general accounting functions.
“I am very excited to join the accounting team at DRMP,” Miller said. “I see this as an opportunity to support growth for the company within the department and growth for myself. This industry is completely new to me and while accounting in general doesn’t change, this industry will provide a new challenge for me.”
Miller has worked in the accounting profession for 25 years. Throughout her career, she has worked in all areas of accounting, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and human resources, general ledger reconciliations, budgeting, and audit preparation.
She has worked mostly for companies in the manufacturing industry. Her last two positions were as assistant controller for a manufacturing company in the food industry and most recently as a controller for a manufacturing company in the HVAC industry.
“As the new controller, I hope that I can bring a fresh perspective to the Accounting Department to further enhance the department’s productivity,” Miller said. “I also hope that my experience can be a resource for the employees within the department.”
Miller said she chose DRMP as the next step in her career because of its employee centric work culture.
“DRMP is a large company but provides you with a small company feeling, which I felt immediately during my interview,” she said. “DRMP cares about its employees and the communities that it provides services for. I knew when I interviewed that I would be able to challenge myself within DRMP while the company continues to grow.”
Miller’s supervisor, Danielle Todd, DRMP’s Director of Finance and Accounting, said Miller’s breadth of accounting experience will add depth to DRMP’s already robust accounting team.
“We are thrilled to welcome Kim to DRMP,” Todd said. “With Kim’s previous Controller experience, she will be able to leverage her knowledge, leadership, and range of expertise to continue to make the DRMP Accounting team even stronger in the years to come.”
