DRMP Transforms Pinellas County, Fla., Corridor with Award-Winning Infrastructure Design

As the prime consultant for the 42nd Avenue North Roadway and Sidewalk Improvements project in Pinellas County, Fla., DRMP was responsible for redesigning and reconstructing approximately 1 mile of roadway into a safe, pedestrian-friendly urban corridor. In recognition of this work, DRMP was named Consultant of the Year in the Roads and Highways category, and the project itself received the Project of the Year award in the Transportation category from the American Public Works Association (APWA) West Coast Branch in Tampa.

Closing the Gap – Serving for Sidewalk Connectivity in Lee County, Fla.

The Lee County Board of County Commissioners recently passed a resolution declaring March 2025 as Bike Month in Lee County, Fla., reinforcing the importance of safer cycling and recognizing the contributions of the Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Committee (BPAC). DRMP Fort Myers Office Leader, Paul Benvie, PE, who serves on BPAC, was honored to be part of this initiative, which aligns with Florida’s Bicycle Month. With 135 out of 160 sidewalk projects on the waitlist totaling over $150 million, BPAC's job is to make sure the County’s annual $5 million to $10 million sidewalk improvement budget is spent where it is needed most.

A Smash Hit: Tarpon Springs Scores with New Pickleball Courts Designed by DRMP

In Tarpon Springs, Fla., DRMP designed four pickleball courts at Safford Fitness Park, one of the most requested amenities from residents eager to enjoy this popular and rapidly growing sport.
