Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) Permit Track Database Review and Design

The Greater Orlando Aviation Authority (GOAA) required an ecological services team to provide a permit tracking database review and design.  DRMP Ecological and GIS staff provided this service and developed a GIS database that will be used by GOAA staff for planning and marketing properties at Orlando International Airport.

DRMP reviewed GOAA’s environmental permit tracking database to identify permit compliance requirements, expiration dates, special conditions and any other pertinent information for all the permits in the GOAA database.  As part of this task assignment, DRMP also developed permit tracking database recommendations based in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) that would provide a more user-friendly system that can be used by all staff at GOAA.  This task involved several coordination meetings with GOAA staff and developing a demonstration of new permit tracking database with the intent of providing full implementation in the near future.  DRMP was also responsible for reviewing existing permits and providing quality control reviews of documents.

The Permit Tracking System benefits the GOAA by streamlining the access to permit and environmental data for both Orlando International Airport and Orlando Executive Airport for improved decision making and development location determinations.
