Central Florida Research Park Force Protection

DRMP was selected as the Civil Engineer and Surveyor for the Force Protection project at the Central Florida Research Park.  Due to Federal Regulations, the Central Florida Research Park was required to Force Protect nine separate buildings which had 25 percent or more Department of Defense (DoD) employees.

Using the Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards, DRMP staff provided site civil engineering design of 7,160-LF of security perimeter fencing and relocated the main entrance to the Naval Support Activity building’s main entrance, and designed a 388-parking facility.

With DRMP’s site design services, Central Florida Research Park, one of the largest research parks in the United States, now meets Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC) standards in protecting DoD employees. This is now one of the first facilities within the United States wherein private property has been force protected for the DoD employees.
