SR 10 (US 90) over Yellow River Bridge Replacement Design Survey

Survey services were needed to support the replacement of an existing 1530-foot long 2-lane structurally deficient and scour critical bridge over the Yellow River, west of Crestview, including roadway reconstruction at the bridge approaches in Okaloosa County, Fla.

DRMP prepared a design survey that included a horizontal alignment determination, above ground and subsurface utilities location, bridge deck location, a topographic survey of the roadway approaches and bathymetry (underwater topography) of the Yellow River Floodway. Upstream and downstream channel cross sections were also performed.

All of the survey data supported the new bridge design of a multi-span vehicular bridge over the Yellow River Floodway which was 1,617-feet in length and the wider bridge allowed higher capacity when needed.
