Sand Key Park Improvements

As part of a continuing services contract for Pinellas County, Fla., DRMP was issued a task work order to support the pavement rehabilitation of Sand Key Park in Clearwater, Fla. The park needed improvements to remedy poor pavement conditions, road base damage, ADA modifications, and drainage improvements. 

DRMP provided surveying services to support this design task work order. The design scope of the project included repaving the circulation road throughout the park and three large parking lots. To keep Sand Key Park open to visitors, our surveyors mobile scanned the park after hours. DRMP provided the following services: design survey; topographic survey; control survey; terrestrial mobile LiDAR; digital terrain models (DTMs).

DRMP coordinated with pedestrians using the park, the Pinellas County Parks Department, Pinellas County Sheriff’s Office, and various utility owners throughout the park. The survey services provided by DRMP will help revitalize the park and make it more enjoyable for all users.
