CHARLOTTE, N.C. – DRMP welcomes Abhiram “Ram” Ravipati, PE, as a traffic design project manager in its Charlotte office, further strengthening the firm’s ability to deliver high-quality projects and support the development of emerging engineers.
In this role, Ravipati will lead traffic design projects from concept to completion, including signal design, safety studies, and traffic control plans. He will also collaborate with other disciplines to ensure quality and mentor younger engineers as the team continues to grow. Ravipati said his goal at DRMP is to foster collaboration across teams, streamline design processes, and help the traffic group take on more complex and impactful transportation projects.
“I look forward to contributing to the continued growth of our traffic department by strengthening our capabilities in signal design, safety and corridor improvement projects,” Ravipati said. “The collaborative culture at DRMP and the opportunity to work alongside talented professionals who care deeply about improving transportation systems make this an exciting next chapter in my career. Ravipati has more than a decade of experience in transportation engineering, specializing in traffic signal design, roadway safety, and infrastructure improvements. His background includes managing signal projects, conducting safety studies, and coordinating roadway and utility designs for state and local transportation projects across the Carolinas.
